Winchester Model 70 trigger guard and floorplate modified for the
Remington 700 action. Stock screws are tempered ¼”-28 thread hex
socket screws. Receiver is machined for clip loading cutouts
in the top of the receiver ring and bridge. Distinctive to an
original USMC rifle is the clip-slotted receiver which is recognized
by the thumb cutout on right side of the bridge. Unertl type
scope mount has lugs on underside, which are hand fitted into the
clip slotted receiver.
